NELLIE BRITTAIN and her sister, Eva, worked together at Kodak in Perth during the 1920s. However, Nellie moved to Geraldton to take up a position as a photographer. It’s not known at which studio she worked, but it may have been one of two photographers who worked in Geraldton at the time. The Dawson Studio on Marine Terrace was run by Eloise and Frederick Dawson. The other studio, the Elston Studio was run by William and Maude Elston. Both these studios operated in the late 1920s and early 1930s.
