ELIZABETH SWEET developed, retouched and printed her husband, Capt. Samuel Sweet’s, photographic works in their Adelaide studio. After his death in 1886 Elizabeth Sweet took over the Sweet studio entirely, continuing the photography of places and events. In 1890 she branched out taking a second studio in Bowden-on-the-Hill where she practised until 1896. It would seem that it was Elizabeth’s talent which made the best of her husband’s work.
