Vera Symons’ family owned and operated the J Ward Symons Studio. After the death of her father, John Ward Symons, in 1930, Olive with sister, Vera, and mother, Mary, took over the studio. At some stage they dropped the “J” from the studio’s name adopting “Ward Symons Studio” making it their own.
