Jeannie Caspers, with husband Rudolph Caspers, opened a studio in Goulburn in 1878. They shared the responsibilities associated with the business along with raising a family. After her husband’s death in 1878 Jeannie Caspers took on full responsibility for both and changed the studio’s name to Mrs Caspers’ Studio.

Notes:

Cecilia Cash and her husband worked together in their Thirlmere photographic business. After his death in 1923 Cecilia took sole possession of the business and continued on as the photographer. As Mrs Cash, Cecilia became a well-known identity in Thirlmere and her success in business saw her open an Emporium. The Emporium sold a great variety of things but Cecilia continued the photographic business as well being an outlet for Harrington’s Photographic goods.
